About Us

Our history began with a meeting with the Rome Clergy Association in 1990 to determine the needs in the Rome community. In 1991, the Welcome Hall Coffee House was established, at 209 S. James Street. Due to a fire in 1996, the Welcome Hall ministered from the First Presbyterian Church. Since February of 1998, we have been ministering to the community from 413 E. Dominick Street. In September of 2008, we became the Rome Rescue Mission!
  Mission Statement

The Rome Rescue Mission is a Christian organization committed to assisting the least, the last and the lost. We provide a means of hope by giving shelter to the homeless, feeding the poor, inspiring life-long learning and encouraging a personal relationship with God to all individuals and families we serve. We hope you take time to learn more about the mission.

Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done
